At Premium Yacht Canada Inc., we understand that plans can change. This refund policy outlines our terms and conditions for cancellations and refunds for yacht charter services. Please read this policy carefully before making your booking.

General Policy

All bookings with Premium Yacht Canada Inc. are subject to our cancellation and refund policy. This policy applies to all yacht charter services, additional services, and packages offered by our company.

Cancellation Timeline & Refund Schedule

Weather-Related Cancellations

Company-Initiated Cancellations

If Premium Yacht Canada Inc. cancels your charter due to unsafe weather conditions, mechanical issues, or other circumstances beyond our control, you will receive:

  • Full refund (100%) of all payments made
  • Alternative dates offered at no additional cost
  • Option to reschedule within 12 months with locked-in rates

Client-Initiated Weather Cancellations

If you choose to cancel due to weather forecasts, standard cancellation fees apply unless:

  • Environment Canada issues a marine weather warning for your charter area
  • Wind speeds exceed 25 knots sustained or wave heights exceed 2 meters
  • Severe weather warnings are in effect (thunderstorms, fog, etc.)

Important Note

Weather-related refunds require official weather documentation from Environment Canada. Light rain or overcast conditions do not qualify for weather-related cancellations.

No-Show Policy

If you fail to appear for your scheduled charter without prior notice:

  • No refund will be provided
  • Full charter fee is forfeited
  • Additional services charges apply
  • Rescheduling is not available

Booking Modifications

Date Changes

Requests to change charter dates are subject to availability and the following conditions:

  • More than 30 days notice: One free date change, subject to availability
  • 15-30 days notice: $200 CAD administration fee + any price difference
  • Less than 15 days notice: $500 CAD administration fee + any price difference

Yacht Upgrades/Downgrades

  • Upgrades: Pay difference + $100 CAD processing fee
  • Downgrades: Refund difference minus $150 CAD processing fee

Additional Services

Cancellation of additional services (catering, entertainment, water sports, etc.):

  • 72+ hours notice: Full refund
  • 48-71 hours notice: 50% refund
  • Less than 48 hours notice: No refund

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment. Premium Yacht Canada Inc. is not responsible for:

  • Medical emergencies preventing travel
  • Flight delays or cancellations
  • Border restrictions or travel advisories
  • Personal emergencies or family situations

Refund Processing

Processing Time: 5-10 business days after cancellation approval
Payment Method: Refunds processed to original payment method
Confirmation: Email confirmation sent once refund is processed

Special Circumstances

Force Majeure

In cases of force majeure (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemic-related closures, etc.), Premium Yacht Canada Inc. will work with clients to:

  • Provide alternative dates within 24 months
  • Offer credit vouchers with extended validity
  • Process refunds on a case-by-case basis

Mechanical Issues

If your selected yacht becomes unavailable due to mechanical issues:

  • Alternative yacht of equal or greater value offered
  • Full refund if no suitable alternative available
  • Compensation for any inconvenience may be provided

Non-Refundable Items

The following items are non-refundable under any circumstances:

  • Booking deposits after 48 hours of confirmation
  • Third-party services (helicopter transfers, restaurant reservations)
  • Custom catering already prepared
  • Personalized services or decorations
  • Processing fees and administrative charges

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund or cancellation:

  1. Contact us immediately via email or phone
  2. Provide your booking confirmation number
  3. Include reason for cancellation and any supporting documentation
  4. Allow 24-48 hours for initial response
  5. Refund processing begins after written approval

  • British Columbia Consumer Protection Act
  • Canadian Consumer Protection legislation

Premium Yacht Canada Inc. reserves the right to update this refund policy. Changes will be communicated via:

  • Email notification to existing clients
  • Website updates with effective dates
  • New bookings subject to current policy

We recommend reviewing this policy before each booking and considering comprehensive travel insurance for maximum protection of your charter investment.
